National Journalism Awards Videos
Winners of the Scripps Howard Foundation National Journalism Awards were honored at a dinner on April 18, 2008 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. It was an extraordinary evening of celebrating great journalism. Cash awards totaling $195,000 and trophies were presented to the winners.
The awards recognize excellence in 17 categories, including editorial writing; human interest writing; environmental and public service reporting; investigative reporting; business/economics reporting; commentary; photojournalism; radio and television journalism; college cartooning; Web reporting; and editorial cartooning. The awards also honor distinguished service to journalism education and the First Amendment.
