Jennifer L. Weber, , joined the company in 2005 as senior vice president of human resources.

Weber is responsible for leading human resources corporate-wide and aligning the function’s goals with the company’s strategic business objectives. 

Weber came to Scripps from Towers Perrin, a global professional services firm with offices in 25 countries.  Jennifer was managing principal of the Towers Perrin HR Services office in Cincinnati since 2002.  She was a human resources consultant with Towers Perrin since 1994, starting in the firm’s office in Pittsburgh.  While there she developed her expertise in various HR issues, including serving as a leader for both the compensation and rewards as well as the change management lines of business.  She was made a partner of the firm in 2001 and a year later was chosen to lead the company’s Cincinnati office.

As managing principal of Towers Perrin in Cincinnati, Weber directly participated in the design and implementation of rewards strategies and programs for several large clients, including Scripps, Alcoa Inc., The J.M. Smucker Company, Convergys Corp., Fifth Third Bancorp and Eli Lilly.

Weber has a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University where she graduated with honors.  She also taught graduate-level professional speaking at Carnegie Mellon after completing her degree.  Weber graduated cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a bachelor’s degree in communications.  She is also a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  She worked as an auditor for the U.S. General Accounting Office for about three years before completing her master’s degree.

Weber recently completed Leadership Cincinnati and is on the board of both the Salvation Army of Greater Cincinnati and the Dan Beard Boy Scout Council.  Outside of her work life and community involvement, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, and their three children.
