Scripps declares third-quarter dividend

Aug. 8, 2018 By Carolyn Micheli

CINCINNATI – The board of directors of The E.W. Scripps Company (NASDAQ: SSP) has declared a cash dividend for the third quarter of 2018.

Scripps shareholders of record as of Sept. 14, 2018, will receive 5 cents per share on Sept. 25, 2018. The dividend will be paid out of the company’s capital surplus.

The cash dividend is the company’s third since reinitiating a quarterly dividend in February.

While the company intends to pay regular quarterly cash dividends for the foreseeable future, all subsequent dividends will be reviewed quarterly and declared by the board at its discretion. The declaration and payment of future dividends will be dependent upon, among other things, the company’s financial position, results of operations, cash flow and other factors.
