Kansas City Chiefs play on your NBC Action News Station

June 20, 2007

(Kansas City, Missouri) Your NBC Action News Station, KSHB-TV, will broadcast the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders game this Saturday, December 23rd.  NFL Network coverage kicks off at 7:00 pm and the broadcast will be in High Definition.  Since most Kansas City viewers are unable to access The NFL Network, KSHB-TV will be the place to be for Chiefs fans. Craig Allison, Vice President and General Manager of KSHB-TV, said: “We are very pleased to be able to provide this game for all Kansas City Chief fans.  Anytime the Chiefs and Raiders play, anything can happen.  We still have our fingers crossed for a playoff spot for the Chiefs.”

The “Countdown to Kickoff” pre-game show begins at 6:00 pm and will be hosted by NBC Action News Sports Director Jack Harry.  Nick Athan from Warpaint Illustrated will provide in-studio analysis.  NBC Action News Sports Reporter Leon Liebl and Chiefs Hall of Famer Bobby Bell are packing their bags and heading to McAfee Coliseum in Oakland where they will be reporting live.

The last time the Raiders and Chiefs battled, Kansas City squeaked out a 17-13 win at Arrowhead Stadium when Larry Johnson scored the game-winning touchdown in the final minutes.  The Chiefs (7-7) will have to win this AFC West showdown to keep their “wild card” hopes alive.
