NEWSCHANNEL 5 INVESTIGATORS EARN TOP HONORS FROM THE OHIO SPJ

Aug. 27, 2008

NewsChannel 5 earned seven awards, the most by any Cleveland television station, from the 2008 Ohio Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).  The Ohio SPJ recognizes the best of Ohio’s print, radio, and television journalism.

“These awards exemplify our commitment to local news and local investigative reporting,” comments NewsChannel 5 News Director Jill Manuel.  “It’s crucial that we deliver this quality content to our viewers every day, but it’s certainly a big plus to be recognized by our peers as well.  Our investigative team will continue to enterprise compelling stories that matter to northeast Ohioans – we’ll continue to live our On Your Side brand.”

The NewsChannel 5 Investigators are Cleveland’s largest investigative team, focused on fighting for northeast Ohioans’ rights, solving their problems, and saving them money.  The complete list of NewsChannel 5’s Ohio SPJ awards is as follows:
