Boehne elected vice president of The E.W. Scripps Company

CINCINNATI, Ohio — The E.W. Scripps Company announced today that Richard A. Boehne has been elected vice president for corporate communications and investor relations.In this position, Boehne, 39, is responsible for building effective communication with all of the Company’s internal and external audiences, including shareholders, employees and the media.He joined the Scripps corporate staff in 1988 as manager of corporate communications and was promoted to director of corporate communications and investor relations in 1989.Before moving to headquarters, Boehne was a business reporter and editor at The Cincinnati Post, a Scripps newspaper. Boehne received a bachelors degree in journalism from Northern Kentucky University in 1981. He and his wife, Lisa Graybeal Boehne, and their two sons, Luke and Jacob, live in Ft. Thomas, Ky. He is active in numerous professional organizations, including the National Investor Relations Institute. He is a trustee of the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, a member of YMCA Camp Ernst’s management committee, and a Sunday school teacher at Highland Hills Baptist Church of Ft. Thomas.The E.W.
